SPACES, a website that aims to document and archive art environments around the world has created a page on their website devoted to The Last Resort. The director of spaces, Jo Farb Hernández also pledged support for The Last Resort in a letter the Marin County Board of Supervisors. See the letter here.
As a graduate of the College of Environmental Design and an individual who benefited from the freedom to live, design, and build during the Marin County of the 1960s and 1970s, I encourage the officialdom to grant an exception for the Last Resort, approving the many improvements over the years after the fact and forgiving the permit fees, fines, etc. This is truly an innovative, visionary, art work of living, sustainability, and inspiration. We should recognize it and honor it.
